About Dr. Mento

Dr. R. Stavros Mento, D.C., B.C.A.O. (Board Certified Atlas Orthogonal) spent the first five years of practice "looking for chiropractic." The first five years for any newly qualified chiropractor is a time of intense learning, but even though he continued to explore various techniques Dr. Mento didn't feel he truly found the keystone to his practice until a difficult personal experience with an adjustment taught him the importance of the precise Atlas Orthogonal adjustment. A.O. is now the foundation of the practice in conjunction with a wide variety of techniques which may be combined for a wholistic approach to natural healing - combined with addressing nutritional needs and environmental factors.

Dr. Stavros MentoDr. Mento graduated from Palmer Chiropractic College, Davenport, Iowa in 1983, and has been "finding chiropractic" in the Rock Island, Quad Cities, Davenport, & Dubuque area - Iowa & Illinois area - ever since. Dedicated to supporting the body as a whole, he widely studies many techniques and methods. His exerpise ranges from helping with general pain complaints to aiding very complex problems.

The A.O. Specialty Technique Dr. Mento uses allows him to work with patients who have fragile spinal complications such as:

  • Severe arthritis of the spine
  • Headaches
  • Vertigo
  • Other special conditions associated with the head, neck, and brain stem
